My Journey into Photography

It was in the darkness of the photographic darkroom that my journey into photography began. My father, a skilled craftsman in photographic printing, brought an image to life on a sheet of paper immersed in a chemical solution. I was captivated by what seemed like pure magic.

Something awakened in that darkroom within the child I was then: a passion for the art of photography.

In 1994, I began my career as a professional photographer, capturing my very first wedding ceremony with a Zenza Bronica 6×6 camera. Despite my nervousness and sweaty fingertips, the photographs were a success.

Since then, I have continued to refine my craft, attending specialist workshops led by some of the great masters of photography.

The advent of digital photography opened up new horizons for me and allowed me to embrace new challenges. It gave me the freedom to work in a more dynamic, lively and spontaneous way, developing a style rooted in documentary photography and visual storytelling.

Today, I transform my clients’ special and emotional moments into stories told through images — where photographs take the place of words.
